Biography
Shelly Saltman For
over fifty years Sheldon "Shelly" Saltman has been
involved in major Corporate, Entertainment and Sports events
around the world. He has represented a galaxy of world class
figures and counts many as his friends including the late Russian
President, Boris Yeltsin. He has received many accolades for
his work including being nominated for numerous national EMMYs,
as well as winning a local Emmy. He has been awarded three University
Honorary Degrees for his International Entrepreneurship and guest
lectures at major universities on both East and West Coasts.
He has had legislation enacted on his behalf by the U. S. Congress
and has worked in 52 countries as an event producer, promoter,
publicist and government advisor.
Saltman brought cellular telephones
to the former Eastern Bloc and made the first-ever video motion
picture deal that started
the Home Video Industry. He was a founding principal and board
member of some of the U S A’s most successful cable systems
including Prism and Houston Sports and Entertainment. The former
President of 20th Century FOX Sports and a published author with
three books to his credit Saltman created the CBS hit TV Series “Challenge
of the Sexes.” His philosophy for SR Media is, "serve
the client and achieve success." A graduate of UMASS, he
did his Master's work at Boston University and attended Boston
College Law School.
Stuart Rowlands Stuart
Rowlands has more than 25 years of public relations, publicity,
event coordination, promotion and crisis pr experience in 18
countries. He started his career in London, England as a music
publicist for such acts as Tom Jones and Rod Stewart before branching
out into diplomatic public relations for the Ghana and Nigerian
governments before immigrating to the United States.
Based in Los Angeles he accepted a position
as Director of Publicity for TWI – the world’s largest independent producer
of sports for television before being promoted to Director of
International Publicity for TWI’s parent company IMG (the
world’s largest sports management/event company). At IMG
his focus was on Wimbledon, professional skiing, PGA Golf Tour
events and corporate client event co-ordination.
He opened SRPR in Los Angeles handling corporate
and/or event pr for Anheuser Busch, American Honda, Chevrolet,
Colgate Palmolive,
Disney Imagineering, IMG, 20th Century Fox and US Suzuki. In
2001 he returned to IMG as Vice President of Global Public
Relations responsible for international publicity and crisis
pr for the
Nobel Peace Institute, Peace Concert and Peace Symposium. Following
9/11 he returned to Los Angeles and opened SRMedia International
with partner Shelly Saltman.
